Port de Sauzon

Design  by Véronique Enginger from "De fil en aiguille" (DFEA) magazine No. 20- 2001, stitched on white Aida count 14.



Probably most of the experienced stitchers interested in the French designs remember that issue with a special theme for the small Brittany ports, including Saint-Cado and Concarneau. All designs are just perfect, which is no wonder for Véronique Enginger.




Sauzon is not any fictious place but a real port in Brittany, France. According to Wikipedia  (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sauzon), "Sauzon (BretonSaozon) is a commune in the Morbihan department of the region of Brittany in north-western France".
